Hi, my name is d’andrea

I’m passionate about helping others live fully and purposefully. As a consultant, adjunct professor, Christian coach, and minister, I’ve dedicated my career to empowering people to embrace their God-given potential. With over 15 years of experience in strategic planning, business analysis, and process improvement, I’ve worked with the City of Atlanta, Fortune 500 corporations, higher education institutions, nonprofits, and churches. Beyond consulting, I’ve had the privilege of engaging audiences nationwide as a speaker, teacher, and workshop facilitator.

As both a theological scholar and practitioner, my research explores the intersection of pneumatology (the study of the Holy Spirit), creativity, and vocational formation. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Georgia State University and an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School, where I earned certificates in Theology and the Arts, Black Church Studies, and Preaching. During my time at Duke, I was honored to be a Black Church Studies fellow and served as Chaplain for the Black Seminarians Union.

Most recently, I served as the Director of Ministry & Nonprofit Development at my local church, a role that reflects my lifelong commitment to ministry. Over the years, I have been honored to serve in many capacities: as a lecturer, inspirational speaker, workshop facilitator, pastoral vision steward, women’s minister, theologian, Christian coach, sister, and friend.

I am especially passionate about journeying with Black women as they explore who they are in God and how they’ve been uniquely designed to show up in the world. By examining how socio-cultural and religious experiences shape our relationships with God, self, and others, I guide women to uncover their unique callings and cultivate holistic spiritual wellness. Together, we embrace the peace and wholeness (shalom) that God intends for us all.

Through my company, Alvrea Solutions, I provide consulting and Christian vocational coaching for women of color. I also co-founded Black and Called, a platform curating resources and coaching for Black Christian creatives and entrepreneurs. Additionally, I serve as an adjunct professor of Bible at Abilene Christian University and work as a teaching assistant and program developer at Duke Divinity School.

Outside of work, I find joy in traveling, writing, painting, and singing. I split my time between Durham, North Carolina, and my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Ultimately, I’m committed to living life with God to the fullest—and helping others do the same.
