Hi, my name is D’Andrea!

I’m passionate about helping people live fully and purposefully with God. As a theological scholar-practitioner, creative consultant, adjunct professor, and Christian coach, my work sits at the intersection of faith, vocation, leadership, and creativity. I bring over 15 years of experience in strategic planning, business analysis, and process improvement, working in corporate, higher education, nonprofit, and church contexts. I’ve also engaged audiences nationwide as a speaker, teacher, and workshop facilitator.

My scholarly work explores the intersection of pneumatology (the study of the Holy Spirit), creativity, and vocational formation, with particular attention to how imagination and embodied spiritual practices shape leadership and calling. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Georgia State University and an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School, where I earned certificates in Theology and the Arts, Black Church Studies, and Preaching. During my time at Duke, I was selected as a Black Church Studies Fellow and served as Chaplain for the Black Seminarians Union. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Coaching and Mentoring Leaders, with an emphasis on transformational leadership and vocational formation.

Over the years, I’ve been privileged to serve in many capacities—as a lecturer, inspirational speaker, workshop facilitator, theologian, coach, sister, and friend. These roles continue to shape my commitment to helping people discern where God is at work in their lives and how they are being invited to respond.

I am especially passionate about journeying with Black women as they explore who they are in God and how they have been uniquely designed to show up in the world. By attending to the socio-cultural and religious experiences that shape our relationships with God, self, and others, I guide women toward deeper discernment, holistic spiritual wellness, and a grounded sense of calling. Together, we pursue the peace and wholeness—shalom—that God desires for our lives.

Through my company, Alvrea Solutions, I provide consulting and Christian vocational coaching for women of color. I also co-founded BLACK+ CALLED, a platform that curates resources, coaching, and community for Black Christian creatives, faith leaders, and entrepreneurs. In addition, I serve as an adjunct professor of theology and continue to engage in teaching and program development within theological education.

Outside of my work, I find joy in traveling, writing, painting, and singing. I split my time between Durham, North Carolina, and my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Ultimately, I’m committed to living life with God to the fullest—and helping others do the same.
